We're going to give this a try & see how it works. Instead of having my students journal on prompts in their notebooks, I'm going to post the writing prompts HERE and have them leave their thoughts as responses. Here's the prompt for FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16:
If you could invite any three people to dinner (dead or alive, famous, fictional, etc.), who would they be, why and what would the topic of conversation be?

I would probably invite Abraham Lincholn, because he was really cool, and I think that I could learn a little from him...I also would probably invite Albert Einstine, so he could do my school work...just kidding! Also I would probably invite General Longstreet, a general in the Civil war (he was on the south side) because he's my great great uncle or something like that...i don't remember. We would probably be having a very interesting conversation...yeah, Abraham Lincholn would be arguing with General Longstreet about the Civil war, and Albert Einstine would be trying to come up with something smart to solve their argument...oh, boy.

If I could invite three people to dinner, those three people would be Loretta Lynn ,Miley Cyrus,and Cole Sprouse.And we would probably talk about acting,since Miley and Cole have been acting for about a year and Loretta Lynn has been singing for I don't know how long.And we might talk about the farms and the animals on a farm.And maybe talk about our favorite shows,of course my favorite show is Mama's Family.

I wold invite Arthur and Dale Earnhardt and Mater (from the movie "Cars")I wold invite those three people because Arthur is My favorite cartoon character Dale Earnhard is My favorite racer and Mater is one of my favorite movie character and our conversation wold there favorite things like food,game place to eat,tv show and stuff like that
