Journal Entry--April 25
Today, we're going to pay homage to the weather by writing a poem about rain. As always, poems don't have to rhyme--but wouldn't it be more fun if your's did?

    rain is cool
    rain is fun
but it's not as cool as the sun

    if there was rain
    every second of the day
then we would all be washed away

    god made rain
it once the earth did reign
good thing he said he wouldn't do it again!

    rain is wet
    rain is cold
I hate to say it but it smells like mold.

I hate rain it is so so
plain I think it should take the blame.

    God made dirt
    And dirt don't hurt;
    But rain got wetness
    On my shirt!

    Rain: A Haiku

    Rain drops keep falling
    On my head--perhaps I should
    Go back indoors, huh.

There once was a substance called rain,
That Mr. Hill did wholly disdain.
    "It gets my hair wet!"
    He said with regret,
"And trying to dodge it's a pain."
