| Journal Entry--May 31 |
| Well, we're down to our last two days of the year. Where did the time go? Since tomorrow we'll be busy cleaning up, packing up, and throwing up (our hands in excitement, that is), today will be our final journal posting of the year. So today, I'd like you to sum up the year. First in one word. Then in one sentence. Finally, in one paragraph. Make sure to skip a line between each of these. |

exciting I liked all of the feild trips. My favortie part of the feild trips was when we went to Chicago. I really thought it was exciting. I really thought the King Tut exibit was neat also.

one word: scary
one sentence: we did work and did fun stuff like play monopoly for math.
one paragraph: our whole year has been fun, interesting, and sometimes boring. It has also been kinda funny, since there was only four of us and we were expecting more kids but we got less. Everybody worked hard {most of the time} and the year just flew by!

Excellent.
The year was an excellent combination of learning, fun, growth, socializing, and awesome field trips.
I had a wonderful time this year myself. It was great to have only four students, but it was also nice to spend time with other friends like the Mossman's, the Daugherty's, and the Charlotte school. I believe we've accomplished a lot this year: a lot of learning, a lot of playing, and a lot of growing. We had a great time extending our learning on field trips, library trips, and through our online interaction with Charlotte on our other blog. We tried exotic foods (remember seaweed candy?) relevant to our Social Studies units, and have become master artists in quite a broad range of mediums (frescoes, mosaics, digital media, etc). We've conquered fractions (remember, fractions are our friends) and become world-champion croquet players. We've moved out of our classroom, then back in to a freshly-painted and newly-carpeted room, full of comfy sofas and computers for each of us. We've read LOTS of books, and written more (and better) than many in grades much higher than ours. After thinking about all that we've done this year, indeed the one word to describe it all is: excellent.
